Bobby Norris on TOWIE / ITV
Bobby Norris has emerged as a shock candidate to host the upcoming reboot of Blind Date for Disney+.
The streaming service is developing a modern version of the classic dating show, originally hosted by Cilla Black and subsequently by Paul O’Grady.
Supposed contenders for the new hosting role have included Holly Willoughby, Claudia Winkleman and Davina McCall but now former TOWIE star Norris has hinted that he too is in the running.
“Bobby’s Blind Date,” he told The Mirror. “Paul O’Grady and Cilla Black were legends so they’re big shoes to fill but I think we could do it.”
The 10-part series – due to start filming later this year – will reportedly adopt more of a Love Island-style format, with the contestants living together in an idyllic location.
