Hollyoaks star Oscar Curtis has revealed that he has been treated for rabies after being bitten by a monkey on holiday in India.
The actor, who plays troubled youngster Lucas Hay in the Channel 4 soap, has spent several weeks in the country ahead of his 21st birthday next week.
Posting photos of the trip to Instagram Stories, Curtis shared a snap of a monkey sitting on a bench alongside the caption: “Moments before the little s**t bit me and I had to go to hospital for rabies jabs FFS.”
He added: “I’m all good tho and don’t have rabies.”
Curtis has been on Hollyoaks since 2023 but has recently suggested that he may have left the show after social media posts indicated that he was packing up and leaving his home in Liverpool close to set.
On screen, Lucas is currently in prison for holding his dad Ste (Kieron Richardson) hostage.
