Ice skating legend Christopher Dean is reportedly in talks about appearing on this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
Together with performance partner Jayne Torvill, Dean memorably won gold for Team GB at the 1984 Winter Olympics for their routine to ‘Bolero’.
The duo were ever-presents on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, initially as coaches and latterly as judges, before the format was rested in 2025.
“Christopher is part of the ITV family thanks to his time on Dancing On Ice, but he’s always been adamant the jungle isn’t for him,” a source told The Sun.
“When bosses came knocking this year, he saw it in a different light. He’s recently retired and is looking for a new challenge.
“I’m A Celebrity is certainly that, so he has met with producers a few times already to talk through being a campmate for this year’s standard Australian series. Everyone at ITV has their fingers crossed that they will secure him.”
The new series launches on ITV in November.
