Ben Holbrough for Love Island 2025 / ITV
OG Ben Holbrough was dumped from Love Island alongside his Casa Amor bombshell partner Andrada Pop last night following a public vote of the most popular couples.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Ben sat down with the press to talk about his time on the show…
How does it feel to have left the Love Island Villa?
“Being in there for just over five weeks, I’ve met some amazing people and made so many good friends. I’m gutted to go of course, it’s bittersweet. I’ve grown so much as a person and have learned so much! A lot of the older guys in there spoke to me and helped me deal with situations better. I’m definitely coming out of the Villa a better person. And of course, I’m leaving with Andrada, she’s a gorgeous girl and I’m looking forward to getting to know her on the outside.”
Talk us through your Love Island journey.
“It was a rollercoaster! I had my fair share of couples. Started off with Shakira and then when Toni came in she chose me. Me and Toni didn’t really work out so I ended up back with Shakira. We had just about a week together and it went well, I enjoyed my time getting to know her. I made her Terrace tapas, à la carte! When we called it a day I was with Yasmin, she’s such a nice girl. I’m really glad we were in a couple, I got to know the other side of her and I’m grateful for that. We had a little bicker, I put my hands up, I could’ve handled it differently! She’s such a nice girl and I’m so glad to see her enjoying her time in there. With Helena, I was attracted to her, we had cuddles in bed but it was more of a friendship.”
You and Alima seemed to get close following the heart rate challenge, how did that come about?
“It wasn’t planned at all, when Remell left we naturally gravitated towards one another. We knew we were attracted to each other and we got along so well, it made sense! She’s one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met, funny and gorgeous. Alima’s heart rate challenge was a joke! I enjoyed every minute of it.”
And then along came Casa…
“As everyone knows I was buzzing, I needed it! I had a dry spell in the Villa and not a lot going on at the time. I got to know Andrada, brought her back and the rest was history! I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes now.”
What’s next for you and Andrada?
“I’m really enjoying where it’s going with Andrada, we’re excited to see what happens! It will be good to go over to Ireland and spend some time with her and have her come over to England too. Our energy matches, we’re both quite bubbly people. We’re the boy and girl version of each other! I noticed her as soon as she came in. The chemistry was there, we clicked and we knew from the off. The eye contact was mad!”
Love Island continues daily at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
