Fourth couple voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Shaun Wright-Phillips and his professional partner Alexis Warr have been voted off Strictly Come Dancing.

The former footballer had been bottom of the judges’ leaderboard in three of the five weeks of live shows, including last night, but had only been in the dance-off once before.

This week he landed in the dance-off again, facing off against Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu in the fight to stay in the competition.

Head judge Shirley Ballas voted to save Wright-Phillips, while Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood picked Winstone, meaning that the choice of this week’s judge with the deciding vote – Anton Du Beke – was final.

The remaining 11 couples will take to the dancefloor again for a Halloween special next Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
