The member of the public dubbed “Tennis The Menace” has struck the Big Brother house for a third time.
The person, who has not been identified, threw tennis balls containing messages over the walls of the BB house twice last month – giving the housemates clues about how they are being perceived in the outside world.
Since then security has been beefed up but according to The Sun, more balls – albeit smaller ones – made their way into the garden last night.
Which housemates intercepted the balls is unclear, although two of the messages are known to read “They’re all whispering about Philip” and “The mask is slipping”.
A source told the newspaper: “Fans loved the tennis balls at first and thought it was a revival of the good old days of Big Brother when the nation was captivated.
“It’s become clear now, though, that the balls are actually affecting show flow, for example earlier messages about Rochelle and Philip being the favourites clearly had a part in ‘the hierarchy’ being established.
“Whether that’s a good or a bad thing is up for debate. But certainly bosses were left fuming that their extra measures to avoid this outside interference had failed.”
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
