Sir Tom Jones has been forced to cancel two gigs on the North American leg of his world tour due to “a bad case of the flu”.
The 86-year-old began his Come Gather Round tour in the Summer and is now on the 25-date North American leg, which is due to end next month.
Last night’s Los Angeles date has now been rescheduled for next Wednesday, while tonight’s San Diego show will take place next Tuesday.
Taking to Instagram, Jones wrote: “I’ve had a great time these last few weeks, completing 20 shows and singing for wonderful audiences across the USA, but unexpectedly I’ve been hit with a bad case of the flu.
“Following doctor’s advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight’s show in Los Angeles and tomorrow’s show in San Diego.”
The news comes weeks after the veteran musician expressed his disappointment at being axed as a mentor on ITV’s The Voice.
