Amber Davies for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 / BBC
Actress Amber Davies has joined the Strictly Come Dancing lineup as a replacement for Dani Dyer.
Dyer was forced to withdraw from the competition earlier this week after sustaining a fractured ankle during a training session with pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Now the BBC has confirmed another former Love Island star, 28-year-old Davies, as her replacement.
Together with Kuzmin she entered rehearsals immediately and will take to the dancefloor for the first time during Saturday night’s first live show.
“This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life,” she said. “I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true.
“I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.”
The first Strictly live show airs Saturday at 6.55pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
