Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller for Prison Break / FOX
Disney’s Hulu has officially ordered a new version of Prison Break with an all-new cast.
The drama, which originally aired from 2005 to 2009, starred Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller as two brothers who mounted an audacious prison escape.
The show returned for a low-rated, nine-episode revival in 2017 with the original stars and is now returning again with an entirely separate plotline, albeit in the “same universe”.
The cast includes Emily Browning as Cassidy, Drake Rodger as Tommy, Lukas Gage as Jackson, Clayton Cardenas as Michael aka ‘Ghost’, JR Bourne as Junior, Georgie Flores as Andrea and Myles Bullock as Darius aka ‘Red’.
A synopsis for the new series reads: “An ex-soldier turned corrections officer (Browning) takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America to prove just how far she’ll go for someone she loves.”
Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring is on board with the new project as an executive producer, while Mayans MC‘s Elgin James has been appointed the showrunner.
