As Maggie celebrates her birthday amid a fiery atmosphere in The Rovers, a special flashback episode takes us back to her formative years as we learn how she became the way she is today. Eva has previously made it clear that she dislikes Maggie – but does she seriously need to watch her back?

Having visited Costello in hospital and chatted to his wife, Kit reveals to Lisa and Becky that Costello had been planning to retire to the Lakes in September, while clocking Becky’s discomfort at this ‘new’ information. Later, Kit tells Carla that he suspects Costello and Becky are in it together but there’s no concrete proof.
At the factory, as Carla knocks back scotch, Becky enters the office and closes the door behind her.

Debbie admits to Carl and Abi that she messed up and booked the wedding venue for 2027 instead of 2026. Knowing that she may be too ill by then, Carl and Abi come to the rescue and surprise Debbie with the news that they have managed to book Monkton Hall for three weeks’ time as they’ve had a cancellation.


Eva makes Will apologise to Lauren for attempting to kiss her, but she insists it’s water under the bridge. When Will subsequently meets up with Megan in the Precinct and apologises for the kiss, Lauren watches with unease from afar.


Also on Wednesday: Sally and Tim pull out all the stops with a buffet when Joanie brings some friends round for a Christmas party, while Christina encourages George to patch things up with Todd.

Friday, December 12

David’s surprised to return home and walk in to Shona hosting a baby shower and soon leaves the guests feeling uneasy when he explains that he thinks it’s inappropriate given the health issues the baby is facing.


George and Christina are concerned when Gary tells them that he heard a crash as he passed by Todd and Theo’s flat.

Costello’s wife shows Kit a picture of the house they bought in Coniston named ‘Ravensgill’. After doing some research, he leaves a message for Carla informing her that Costello’s new house was bought by a company setup a week after Becky “died”.
Carla calls round No.6 and tells Lisa that she never should have left, she never stopped loving her and now she’s home. Lisa admits she loves her too but it’s too late – they’re finished.

Sally tells the girls that she will arrange for them to see her mother on Christmas Day but Tim fears she may have spoken too soon as the prison might not even allow visitors on Christmas Day.


Also on Friday: Kevin hands back his wedding invitation to Debbie after learning that Carl and Abi have also been invited.
