Yash Patel is in the driving seat this week in Big Brother USA after triumphing in the latest Head of Household competition.
The 24-year-old financial analyst, who hails from New Jersey, earned his maiden HoH win on Thursday – hours after Chuk Anyanwu became the fifth HouseGuest to be evicted.
Later that night Yash began plotting who to put up on the block – and, confiding chiefly in Kamu Kirk and Drew Campbell, he decided to go for an all-female shortlist after pointing out that the girls now outnumber the guys by seven to five.
Yash was also keen to make sure that one of The Legends leaves the house soon, and having ruled out ally Rick Devens, he settled on nominating Angela Murray and Dee Valladares.
The third slot on the block was a toss-up between Melody Morris and Haley Thogmartin, with Yash ultimately picking the latter while noting that she would be highly competitive in the Veto competition.
“I’m not putting up any of the dudes,” he explained to Devens before the ceremony. “I’m not putting up Lala because she didn’t put me up. And I don’t want to put up Mallory either, because I think me and Mallory are cool. I don’t think she’d put me up.”
