With Bernie alone in the café, Mal seizes the opportunity and locks the door before confessing the extent of his feelings towards her. When she rejects him, his demeanour changes to something more concerning. Later, Bernie’s shocked to see that someone has cut her head out of her wedding picture and flees the house in terror.


Against Ronnie’s better advice, Debbie insists that he transfer Carl 2 grand. Furious, Ronnie confides in brother Ed about how Carl is trying to bleed Debbie dry.


Steve takes a call and tells Ben and Cassie that according to one of Jim’s army mates, his dad is in hospital and unlikely to pull through.

At the café, Mal storms in and rails at Bernie in front of everyone, forcing Roy to intervene and throw him out. Later, Bernie makes it clear to Mal that unless he stays away, she will kill him, but he laughs in her face and tells her that he’s going nowhere.

As George and Christina show him out, Annie approaches and insists that the Shuttleworths cannot be trusted. Damien thanks her for the warning and decides to take his business elsewhere.
