As a mystery figure lets themselves out of Kit’s flat, he opens his eyes and stares guiltily at a photo of him and Sarah. Later, he attends an appointment with a consultant, who confirms that he has stage three breast cancer which has spread to his lymph nodes.
Kit arrives at The Rovers and starts knocking back at the drink as Bernie watches on with concern. Meanwhile, Debbie makes an emotional speech as her friends and family gather for her birthday party. When she thanks Ronnie and describes him as the love of her life, Kit is overcome with emotion and heads into the backyard – but when Todd finds him and asks what the problem is, will Kit open up?

Shona’s emotional as David returns home and assures her that she’s a brilliant mum – and tells her that from now on they will share the strain together.
Meanwhile, Jodie receives a voicemail from Kit telling her that he doesn’t want to see her again. Filled with anger, she lets herself into Sarah and Kit’s flat and starts snooping around – callously rubbing out some of Harry’s height record which has been chalked on the wall. When Kit and Bethany enter the flat, she hides and overhears something shocking…
When Kit accidentally collides with Ross at The Rovers, there are more than drinks spilled as Kit clutches his chest in pain. Ross accuses him of overreacting and Kit loses his temper.
Also on Wednesday: Dylan reiterates to Betsy how bad he feels about what happened, Lucy informs Tim that she doesn’t want to intend her mum’s funeral and Carla’s touched when Sally shows her a fashion course which could be suitable for Betsy.

Shona’s stunned to come face to face with her dad, who tells her that he is back on his meds, has his bipolar under control and is keen to repair their relationship.
At Roy’s, one of the mums from the baby group mistakes Jodie for Shona and she plays along, leaving Doug confused.
Later, she makes clear to her dad that he had better not cause any problems – but when she casts a longing look at David, Doug notices and is disturbed.
Lucy gives Shanice some money and tells her to go buy some sweets, but when Shanice explains that she isn’t allowed to go out on her own Lucy assures her that she won’t tell tales.
Soon afterwards, Brian returns Shanice to the house, leaving Sally shocked and suspicious that Lucy had something to do with it.
Also on Friday: Bethany arrives at Betsy’s to give her a manicure – but all of a sudden Betsy clutches her head in pain, fearing that she is having another stroke.
