Bobby Brazier is reportedly preparing to move to India to pursue his religious interests following his upcoming exit from EastEnders.
Earlier this year it emerged that the 22-year-old had decided to quit his role as Freddie Slater on the soap after three years, with his departure due to play out on screen this Autumn.
Over the last couple of years Brazier has shown increasing interest in the Hare Krishna movement and is a regular at the Hare Krishna temple in Soho, London.
“Bobby is really excited and happy about his move to India,” a source told The Sun. “He’s been telling everyone about it and preaching to them about why he is devoted to Hare Krishna.
“He’s such a nice young man, his heart is in the right place, but some people are surprised that he’s walking away from his career at a time when he’s on such a high with it.
“He says he expects to be over there for a long while, at least a year, so maybe he will pick up on his career eventually when he’s back.”
Founded in the 16th century, the Hare Krishna movement was popularised in the West in the 1960s and is now thought to have around 15,000 followers in the UK.
