After Eve gets upset by gossip about his arrest, Paddy calmly tells his daughter that he may have to go to prison because he helped out granddad. Heartbroken, Eve begs him not to leave.


Much to Cain’s frustration, Moira is insistent on helping a guilty Robert out at the farm. She senses something amiss with Robert’s behaviour and after some prodding, he confesses to planting the IDs that led to her being banged up, explaining that Joe blackmailed him with a video of Victoria killing John. A devastated Moira tells him that he needs to go to the police – or she will.


Sarah and Jacob are chuffed to become Leyla’s official parents and that afternoon, they take her home for the first time.

Moira decides to keep the truth about Joe’s blackmail of Robert from Cain ahead of the upcoming operation. Later, she arrives at Home Farm armed with a shotgun and furiously confronts Joe.

Ross and Mack arrive with a gift from Moses for baby Leyla. Ross is clearly awkward, reluctant to hold her, but Jacob insists that he and Moses should join them at a family gathering later.

In the pub backroom, a distraught Moira opens up to Chas about the fractured nature of her relationship with Cain.

Meanwhile, a concerned Liam attempts to get Cain to open up – and eventually it works, as Cain reveals that he’s planning to cancel his cancer surgery. Liam informs Moira and Chas of what Cain is intending to do, but can anyone get through to him?

Moira drops a bombshell on Dawn by letting her know that Joe was responsible for her imprisonment – and Dawn urges her to tell her everything she knows about what happened.

Also on Thursday: Paddy pleads with Simo, whom Bear believed had been murdered by Ray, to testify on his dad’s behalf but Simo refuses as he doesn’t want to relive the trauma of what they went through.
