Madonna for Confessions II
Madonna is reportedly in negotiations about playing three consecutive nights at BST Hyde Park in 2027.
The Queen of Pop, 67, is currently promoting latest album Confessions II and last weekend was one of the big-name performers in the half-time show at the World Cup final.
Madonna has been linked with various big one-off gigs, such as Glastonbury 2027, rather than a full tour – and now The Sun says that her most likely option is to play in London’s Hyde Park next Summer.
“Madonna and her team want the ultimate celebration for Confessions II and she is itching to get out on stage,” a source told the newspaper.
“Glastonbury is an option, but BST Hyde Park is wide open for her and it would be a big payday. They would likely be her only shows in Europe because she knows people will travel from far and wide to see her.
“The plan being mooted is Madonna could headline three nights in a row. It would make history as no other artist has ever done that at BST.”
BST Hyde Park has been held annually every Summer since 2013 over a period of around three weeks, with multiple headliners performing over several weekends.
Previous performers have included Sir Elton John, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Bruce Springsteen, Kylie Minogue, Adele and The Rolling Stones.
