Everton midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has revealed a surprising ambition to become a stage actor.
The 27-year-old has been a footballer since the age of six, spending most of his career with Leicester City before moving to Chelsea for the 2024-25 season and then on to Everton last August.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Dewsbury-Hall confessed to being a fanatic of West End musicals, describing them as “my guilty pleasure”, and has built up industry contacts during his frequent trips to see shows.
“[My teammates] just look at me like I am alien,” he said. “But one day I genuinely believe I’ll do something in the West End.
“I resonate with what they do every night, giving their best to a completely new set of eyes. That’s hard to do, so I respect them so much.”
Dewsbury-Hall has yet to break into an England team but is now hoping to represent his country at this Summer’s World Cup.
