Frankie Taber fought back tears as he came out as bisexual on his first morning in the Big Brother house.
The 23-year-old – a marketing manager from London – earlier told fellow housematesJohanne Cade and Pauline Adeyemo that he had not slept all night as something was on his mind, and in a visit to the Diary Room shortly afterwards he made the brave disclosure to BB.
“I’ve been a little bit upset,” he said. “I need to get it off my chest. I mean look, to be fair, I came on this show to come out – because I’m bisexual.
“I’ve been in pain for so long now, probably about a year-and-a-half, two years now, just the guilt and shame that I’m carrying from it.”
Speaking through tears, he continued: “I dunno, I just feel like I’ve let down a lot of people.”
“I’m just upset, and I’m obviously worried as well. I’m talking on the outside world. I dunno, some people might not want to be friends any more – some people might just avoid me, not want to be around me. I guess it’s just a little bit sad.”
Asked by BB why he now felt ready to come out, he answered: “The people. I feel like the people is what makes you feel quite comfortable, and the Diary Room makes you feel quite comfortable.”
