Tays, member of social media collective The Bov Boys, has entered the Big Brother house in the role of BB’s mole.
The 23-year-old was part of this year’s ‘dry run’ – a chance for the producers and camera operators to test their systems before the real show begins – and entered alongside his Bov Boys colleagues, including Angry Ginge, and several other participants, on Saturday.
In an unusual move, the group’s 24 hours were broadcast live on YouTube and ended with a surprise twist on Sunday afternoon as one of them was elected to join the lineup for the main series.
At the start of the launch episode Tays was seen accepting BB’s challenge to cause clandestine chaos for the 15 contestants who subsequently entered the house.
Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed that Tays would only be part of the show for its first week – presumably leaving during this Friday’s first live eviction – and that his first task would require him to recruit another housemate to work alongside him.
Tays and his new accomplice will then have to secretly select three housemates to face the public vote for eviction this week.
At the end of the live episode, BB made an announcement to the house informing the group that the theme of this year’s series is “chaos” and warned that one among them had already been selected as the mole.
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
