Halle Brown for Love Island 2026 / ITV
It was curtains for two Sleepover Bombshells on last night’s Love Island as Chidi Ogandu and Halle Brown were dumped from the villa following a vote among the couples themselves.
Shortly after her departure, Halle sat down with the press to reflect on her time on Love Island 2026…
How does it feel to be leaving Love Island?
“It feels really sad because I don’t think I deserved to leave, especially not in the way that I did, because the only reason I was up there in the first place was due to my partner, not me. It’s devastating, but I also don’t want to be somewhere I’m not wanted, and clearly, no-one was fighting for me. I’d rather leave with my head held high, knowing everything I did was true to myself, than stay and have everyone be devastated that someone they didn’t want to leave had gone. Everyone in there needs to remember that it’s Love Island, not Friend Island. I would stick up for my friends, too. I get it, but it’s just annoying.”
How would you describe the experience?
“The little sleepover was a unique experience. I think I got the best of both worlds because I slept in both Villas and had the full experience. If I had to summarise it, I’d definitely say it was short but sweet.”
What was the sleepover like?
“It was a nice warm-up because there were only eight of us in there compared to so many in the big Villa. It was reassuring to know that if we could get on with those four then we were definitely going to get along with everyone else. It was a lovely experience.”
You came in as a Sleepover Bombshell with the others, what was that like?
“It was really fun to have someone to do the experience with, and to walk in with at the same time. I felt immensely closer to those guys than the other girls, as they had already created a bond themselves. It was nice to be able to go off and have our own little debriefs as bombshells about how we were feeling about everyone else.”
You initially invited Simba to the Sleepover, but then shared a kiss with Tommy once you entered the Main Villa. How was it getting to know those two?
“I picked Simba initially because I really thought we’d get on, and I didn’t realise he was having a thing with Mica. I just thought he was trying something with Angie, but everyone was saying that they were open, so I thought I might as well try it. Obviously, when we were there, he made his intentions very clear to me and Chidi that he and Mica just wanted to focus on each other. Then when we got to the Villa, I had some really good conversations with Tommy.”
That kiss left Ellie unhappy. How were things left with her?
“She wasn’t angry at me at all. I went in after she had calmed down a bit and said, ‘Ellie, are you okay? I’m so sorry. I thought you were all open.’ She said, ‘Halle, it’s not you. It’s his actions. He doesn’t think about what he’s doing.’ Ellie and I were completely fine. My favourite person in there was Ellie. She came to me straight away after the dumping and said, ‘I did not want you to go at all. It isn’t fair.'”
And how were things left with Tommy?
“I mean, he was trying to back me and him up in the process. He was saying, ‘I think me and Halle actually have something,’ and that we deserve to stay. But I also think he knows he’s on thin ice. I’d never be on bad terms with him though, and I wish him all the best. I know he’s probably going to do the same thing with five more girls that might walk in.”
Love Island continues nightly at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
