The Traitors S4 finalist Stephen Libby / BBC
The Traitors winner Stephen Libby is reportedly in talks about joining the lineup for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
The show returns this Autumn with a trio of new hosts, multiple new pro dancers and a visually-improved set following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman last year.
Libby, 32, won the fourth series of the treacherous reality show earlier this year and became a firm favourite with viewers due to his smart gameplay and witty remarks.
“The Strictly casting team have met with Stephen and think he could be a great fit,” a source told The Sun.
“Stephen was hugely popular on The Traitors and since leaving Ardross Castle he has built up a very big fan base.
“The BBC are always keen to utilise their talent and Stephen is ideal.
“No final decision has been made yet but if Stephen doesn’t make the cut this year, he’ll be a key target for the 2027 series — especially if his profile continues to grow as it has.”
The BBC has been dripfeeding the names of the celebs in the lineup over the Summer and has named six so far – ex-EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, Aussie music legend Delta Goodrem, returning reality star Dani Dyer, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, Love Island‘s Cach Mercer and Big Brother host Will Best.
