Patsy Kensit has reportedly agreed a deal to return to Emmerdale as villainous Sadie King after 20 years away.
The character – ex-wife of Jimmy King (Nick Miles) – appeared in the village from 2004 to 2006, during which time she clashed with Jimmy’s dad Tom (Ken Farrington), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley).
Sadie left after her plot to take down the Kings was foiled when Cain betrayed her – and she has yet to appear since.
“This signing has been kept a top secret as bosses want Patsy’s return to shock fans,” a show source told The Sun.
“She is apparently delighted to be get her teeth back into the meaty role.
“Scriptwriters want to keep the show going with explosive plots and divisive characters.”
Sadie is expected to be back on screen later in the year.
