Saturday Night Live UK / Sky One
Hannah Waddingham and Ncuti Gatwa have been confirmed as the hosts for the final two hosts of Saturday Night Live UK‘s inaugural series.
The British take on the US comedy institution has largely confounded expectations and been a success for Sky One, with high engagement for the show’s sketches on social media as well as praise from critics and fans.
The initial six-episode run was extended to eight, with Tina Fey, Riz Ahmed, Jamie Dornan, Jack Whitehall, Nicola Coughlan and Aimee Lou Wood each presenting episodes to date.
This coming Saturday, May 9, will see Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham host proceedings, with music provided by Myles Smith.
The final episode on Saturday, May 16 – directly opposite the final of the Eurovision Song Contest – will see Doctor Who‘s Gatwa presenting alongside music from Brit Rising Star winner Holly Humberstone.
Sky has yet to confirm – but is widely expected to confirm – the commission of a second series for broadcast later this year.
