Jack P Shepherd as Prince in Sleeping Beauty
Coronation Street legend Jack P Shepherd will be treading the boards for panto season in Wales this Christmas, it has been announced.
The 38-year-old has been playing the part of David Platt on the ITV soap for the last 26 years and also took part in the most recent series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2025, emerging as the winner.
Now Shepherd has been confirmed for the role of Prince in a new production of Sleeping Beauty at Venue Cymru in Llandudno, North Wales between December 12 and January 2.
In a statement, he said: “I’m delighted to be joining the cast in Llandudno this festive season and can’t wait to entertain audiences in this year’s pantomime.”
Shepherd’s on-screen absence from Coronation Street is expected to be minimal as the soap typically shuts down filming for at least two weeks over the festive period.
