Noah on Emmerdale on March 16, 2022 / ITV
Jack Downham has posted a farewell message online after his Emmerdale character Noah Dingle made his on-screen exit.
The 24-year-old left his role after 17 years last week in an episode that saw Noah say goodbye to the village – and his mum Charity (Emma Atkins) – in order to take a new electrician job in Dusseldorf.
Sharing a selection of pictures from his time on the soap, Downham wrote: “Noah Dingle over & out. What a bloody beautiful place to have worked for 17 years!”
Commenting on each of the pics, he said: “My first day on set! What. A. Trim. Read the room lad…Why am I dressed as a piano. Little stint in prison for Noah in his wilderness years. A thorn between two roses… or something like that. Suited and booted. R.I.P Noah.”
The comments were flooded with messages of support from co-stars past and present, including:
Joe-Warren Plant, aka Jacob Sugden: “The best of the best you are!”
Katie Hill, aka Noah’s niece Sarah: “Can’t wait for this next chapter for you<3 exciting times ahead, love you.”
Lawrence Robb, aka Mackenzie Boyd: “You’re just a dream boy! Smash it! Fly fly fly!”
Michelle Hardwick, aka Vanessa Woodfield: “Will miss you Jack. Exciting times ahead.”
James Hooton, aka Sam Dingle: “Brilliant Jack lad! Sorry I’m late seeing this post. A pleasure to work with you all these years and there’s only one thing for it now you’ve left. More padel, footy, climbing and golf!”
Liam Fox, aka Dan Spencer: “Here’s to new adventures mate…. You’re the best… always a pleasure to work with…. Exciting times.”
Laura Norton, aka Kerry Wyatt: “Absolute angel. That pic of you and Emma 💔 can’t wait to see what you do next. The most lovely young man. We will miss you lots like jelly tots. I’ll never forget you launching yourself into that hole in the ground.”
