YouTuber Sharky is reportedly in talks about taking part in this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
The 30-year-old is part of the Beta Squad collective of content creators and boasts 1.4 million followers on Instagram, 2.3 million on TikTok and 1.5 million on YouTube.
If he joins the show, Sharky would be following in the footsteps of fellow vlogger Angry Ginge, who was crowned King of the Jungle last year.
A source told The Sun: “Sharky is absolutely massive with young people and ITV think he could be ideal to bring younger viewers to I’m A Celebrity.
“Beta Squad command tens of millions of followers and they know those fans will engage with I’m A Celeb if he goes into the jungle.
“Angry Ginge was a relative unknown with traditional audiences when he went into camp, and the nation fell in love with him.
“After meeting Sharky, ITV bosses thought he was a great fit and they are keen to see if they can get him on board. He is definitely interested and is thinking about it. For him, taking part in I’m A Celebrity would open him up to a whole new audience — plus it’s the adventure of a lifetime.”
The new series begins on ITV in November.
