Kate Robbins has joined the cast of EastEnders for a short storyline involving Whitney Dean (Shobna Gulati).
In the new plot, Whitney will take a surprising career turn and attempt to become a pop star after being spotted and encouraged by Rocky (Brian Conley).
In a bid to make Whitney the next big star of the music industry Rocky gets in touch with old friend Jen Glover (Robbins), a music agent described as “an old-school rocker” and “no-nonsense”.
“I am so excited to be joining EastEnders as Jen, we had a ball filming the scenes,” said Robbins.
“It was surreal to be sat in The Queen Vic for my first scenes with some of the legends of Albert Square.
“Working alongside the team was a dream and I can’t wait to see the scenes on screen.”
Robbins’s scenes will air next month.
