Pollard refuses Tracy’s offer of help as he insists he can manage alone, but he soon comes to regret it when he falls and there is no-one else around.

Ruby, Cain, Caleb and Chas are terrified that the body in the lake is Anthony and panic sets in, even more so when they learn that it has been there for months. Ruby decides that her only option is to confess but Caleb convinces her that they should both go on the run instead.

Ruby leaves a note before slipping out and heading to the police station, where she prepares to confess all…

Marlon’s heartbroken when April panics and struggles to sit an exam, but is hopeful when Belle suggests that April could benefit from redoing the year.

When April asks for a summer job, Belle gives her a trial shift at Take A Vow. Her first assignment is to film a christening, but she’s shaken when she sees that the baby’s father is a man who threatened to urinate her when she was on the streets.

At the station, Ruby recounts the years of abuse she suffered at the hands of her father, while making it clear that Caleb had no part in Anthony’s disappearance. The interview is interrupted by the arrival of a solicitor engaged by Caleb – how will things pan out?

The police arrive to inform Tracy that the body found in the lake is Nate’s.

Cain and Moira are blindsided with the news about Nate – and Cain is horrified to learn that he can’t even see his son as the body is so badly decomposed. Cain experiences flashbacks to his fractious final interaction with Nate but keeps the information from police. Meanwhile, Tracy recalls Nate’s last few days in the village.

After police learn about the fight he had with Nate on the day he died, an angry and grieving Cain is taken in for questioning. Later, when Cain offers Tracy his support, her mind starts whirring and she grows suspicious.

Sarah goes rogue with Kammy.
