Anna Passey has confirmed that she will return to Hollyoaks as Sienna Blake after “a little sabbatical”.
In shock scenes that aired last month, Sienna was arrested for the supposed murder of Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix), seemingly marking her exit from the show.
Passey has now revealed that Sienna will return to Hollyoaks village, however, and will be back on screens in a matter of months.
“I’ve done 14 years on the bounce and Sienna is pretty hectic so I thought it was a nice time to take a little time off for myself,” she told The Sun.
“I’m on a little sabbatical at the moment. Sienna is in prison for a while but she will be back.”
She continued: “I’ve signed my contract for it. I don’t know too many details of how she will be back. But she will be back by the end of the summer.
“I’m looking forward to coming back. Once I’ve had this break, I’ll be back to normal.”
New episodes of Hollyoaks drop Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7am on Channel 4 streaming and air the same night at 7pm on E4.
