Chris Coghill (Kev), Bradley Riches (Lewis), Lawrence Robb (Mackenzie), Ryan Hawley (Robert), Mike Parr (Ross) and Jay Kontzle (Billy) for Emmerdale / ITV
Emmerdale star Bradley Riches has said that he has ‘learned a lot’ in the short time he has been sharing scenes with co-star Chris Coghill.
After some time away, Coghill’s character Kev returned to the village in last week’s episodes and revealed to a stunned Lewis (Riches) that he is his biological father.
Lewis reacted by shunning Kev’s attempts at forming a bond with him – but Riches says that in real life the opposite is true.
Speaking to The Mirror about his new co-star, he said: “That man, he’s one of those people who, you watch him do scenes and stuff like that, and he is a guy who just goes with instincts as an actor.”
“That is what a true actor is, being honest, being real,” he continued. “So I’ve learnt a lot from him, to trust my instincts as a human as well. So I’ve learnt a lot from him, but yeah, he’s a legend.”
New episodes of Emmerdale are typically released weekdays at 7am on ITVX and air the same night at 8pm on ITV1 – although the regular release pattern is currently affected by World Cup scheduling.
