The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox / Hulu
ITV has made a double acquisition of two acclaimed true crime dramas for release on ITVX and broadcast on ITV1 later this month.
The Staircase – from HBO Max – stars Colin Firth as Michael, a war veteran who reports the death of his with Kathleen, played by Toni Collette, after she horrifically fell down the stairs.
As the police investigation proceeds, Michael becomes a murder suspect – forcing his family to pick sides, a circumstance made even weirder by the arrival of a French documentary crew who film the many twists and turns.
The second acquisition is The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, from Hulu/Disney+, which tells the true story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate and her efforts to prove her innocence.
The Staircase is available from July 25, while The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox arrives a week earlier on July 17.
