The BBC has released a first preview trailer for its strange new psychological thriller The Rapture.
The five-part drama is set amid a heatwave and widespread protests, just as forensic psychologist Gabs Fox (Ruth Madeley) is starting a new job at a high-security psychiatric hospital.
Gabs soon encounters 17-year-old Bethany Krall (India Amarteifio), who was convicted of murdering her mother but insists that she is innocent. Bethany also claims to have psychic powers and can predict the future, while she is estranged from her father, who is the leader of an influential religious movement.
The Rapture premieres on BBC One and iPlayer later this month.
