Cheryl is reportedly in talks about making a TV comeback as a coach on the 2027 series of The Voice.
The show has just returned for a new series on ITV, with long-term coaches will.i.am and Sir Tom Jones joined by joint-coaches Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, plus new coach Kelly Rowland.
The current series was actually filmed in September 2025 – and the 2027 series is due to be recorded in a matter of weeks.
The hosting role is being changed up as Emma Willis has left for Strictly Come Dancing, with Alesha Dixon and Stacey Solomon due to replace her as joint hosts.
will.i.am and Sir Tom will be back as coaches once again, while rapper Aitch has been signed to take over from the McFly duo.
According to The Sun, former The X Factor judge Cheryl, 43, is in advanced talks about becoming a coach – presumably as a replacement for Rowland rather than becoming a fifth coach.
A source told the newspaper: “Every year producers ask Cheryl to go on the show, and it’s a polite ‘no’ as the timing has never quite been right.
“This year it’s different. She feels ready to re-enter the spotlight and talks are now in the final stages.
“Things could come crashing down but with… weeks to go until filming kicks off, the production team is working on the assumption she will be doing it.
“It helps that long-term friend will.i.am will be beside her on the panel.”
An official announcement from ITV is expected imminently, with filming scheduled to begin in Manchester on September 11.
