ITV has revealed details of the storylines to come on Emmerdale this autumn.
The broadcaster has confirmed that both Emmerdale and sister soap Coronation Street will return to six episodes a week from mid-September and has also released a guide to the upcoming plotlines.
The major storyline in the months ahead is set to be “the murder and cover-up of one of Emmerdale‘s most notorious characters” which leads to one resident of the village “spiralling into darkness” and “intent on self-destruction”.
Moira’s past will be delved into through the arrival of her brother, who is described as “dangerous, fearless and sharp-witted” and will make “a huge and irrevocable impact” when he arrives in the village.
Meanwhile, there is a hint that Belle might commit an act of betrayal and Manpreet will welcome her sister to the Dales.
