Love Island All Stars concludes tonight as the 2025 champions are crowned, but falling just short at the final hurdle were Harriett Blackmore and Ronnie Vint, who were dumped on the penultimate day.
Shortly after leaving, Harriett sat down for a chat about her time on the show…
How did you feel about the Islanders’ decision to dump you?
“The easiest thing to say is that we [had a relationship] before. I was just a bit hurt because my friends were sat there and the people who helped me through my journey and tried to make me trust Ronnie again threw it back in my face and said it wasn’t going to work.”
But did you feel confident that you and Ronnie were leaving together happy as a couple?
“I did walk out of there with my head held high in the sense we are together. But I know those Islanders used it as a cop out answer. Tina could have picked Catherine and Omar because he kissed her in the challenge or something like that. I think there’s lots of cop out answers flying about, which I expected, I just didn’t expect it from my friends.”
Are you as surprised as anyone else that you and Ronnie have got back together?
“Yeah, hand on my heart I never thought I’d speak to that boy again. Obviously I went into the Villa with the intention of not getting back with him. I spoke to Ron and quickly realised he wasn’t for me. Then naturally Ronnie and I gravitated towards each other, but I still had my guard up. It’s only really the last week that I’ve actually let it down. So I was shocked! I would never have spoken to him unless I was in the Villa. It does feel like everything’s happened for a reason.”
What would you want to say to people who think you faked your split to get back together on the show?
“Regardless, whether I picked him or not, people would have either said, ‘She’s picked someone else, but she still fancies Ronnie’ or if I’d picked him straight away they’d have said I’d only gone back in for him. I didn’t expect this to happen, this is the way it’s gone.”
You’ve told each other you love each other – what is it about Ronnie?
“He’d do anything for me and he always has my back and is kind and caring. He’s a really good person and people can see that now, which I’m so grateful for. He’s grown so much as an individual and I think I’ve helped him along the way.”
Have you left things in a good place with Luca?
“Yes, definitely. I always felt deeper emotions for Luca because I’ve grown up with him and he’s been through my past relationships with me. It’s more like a family bond.”
Who are your winners?
“Grace and Luca would be my winners or Casey and Gabby. Casey’s got a different energy about him and she’s perfect for him and brings out a side of him that I don’t think any other girl he’s been with has. She’s so mature. I think they’ll go a long way. Omar was on my series and I’m over the moon he’s in there again. They have something special. I don’t think age is a problem at all for Elma and Sammy, he’s more mature than most 23 year olds I know! Ekin-Su and Curtis are boyfriend and girlfriend now, so!”
Love Island All Stars: The Live Finale airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
