How did you react to the news that you would be on the show?
“So, I never really imagined that I’d actually get to be on the GBBO. When I got through to the second audition I was super happy with that and didn’t think it would go further, let alone get on the show.”
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a baker?
“So personally, I think my strengths as a baker are my flavours and overall creativity. I think some of the things I’m good at being creative with flavour combos, having ideas and using different unique ingredients.”
Was it surreal meeting Noel and Alison for the first time?
“Yeah, it was surreal meeting them for the first time, luckily, I met them on the prep day/Friday and had a little hello and chat with them. So, I felt more relaxed chatting and talking to them when we were in the tent.”
How did you feel about your first judging from Paul and Prue?
“Very much so, my initial signature bake didn’t go quite as planned, so I was a little anxious, and really not looking forward to it that much.”
The Great British Bake Off begins Tuesday night at 8pm on Channel 4.
