Why did you apply to be on the show?
“It was always a bucket list experience. I’ve always wanted to do something like this and I thought it would be a fun story to tell one day. Me being on the show might also potentially help with my business as well.”
What will you bring to the house?
“Being part of the ‘buff butler’ stuff, you naturally fall into the role of an entertainer, getting folks chatting and mingling and maybe playing a couple daft games. It depends what everyone else is like. I’m very versatile – I can have quite deep and intellectual conversations, and I can also be a bit daft.”
Do you have a strategy?
“Honestly, not at all. I don’t think I could play a game for seven weeks – you can’t pretend to be someone else for seven weeks. The only way you get that far is by being yourself because otherwise the mask would slip.”
What would you do with the prize money if you won?
“It’s so boring but I would invest it. I’m pretty aware that a sudden burst of attention or income – that’s all it’s going to be is a burst. So if you think that’s evergreen then you’ll end up in the same situation as before. I’m not going to have this forever, so I’ll invest the money and make it work for me. And hopefully set myself up for a decent life.”
