Tickets for next Summer’s Glastonbury Festival sold out this morning in just 42 minutes.
The music and arts event – first held in 1970 – can be notoriously difficult to secure tickets for, with hundreds of thousands of people thought to apply each year that Glastonbury is staged.
A limited number of coach-and-ticket packages went on sale on Thursday but the main bulk of regular tickets went on sale online at 9am UK time this morning.
At 9.42am organisers announced: “The tickets in this morning’s sale have now all been sold and confirmation emails are going out now. We’re sorry to those who missed out. There will be a resale of any cancelled / returned tickets in Spring 2027.”
The 2027 Festival, which will be staged from Wednesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 2027, marks the first time that tickets have exceeded a price point of £400, coming in at £408 including booking fee and postage.
The acts for 2027 have yet to be announced, although the rumour list includes Harry Styles, Sam Fender, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift.
