Kelly Osbourne has clapped back at critics for making comments about her appearance at The Brit Awards over the weekend.
The 41-year-old attended the event with mother Sharon Osbourne in order to collect a Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of family patriarch Ozzy Osbourne, who died last July.
Kelly appeared noticeably thin during the emotional occasion, leading to her receiving abuse from online trolls, one of whom said that she “looks like she’s going to see her dad soon”.
Reposting the vile comment on her Instagram stories, Kelly wrote: “There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something.
“Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.
“None of it proves strength, it only reveals a profound absence of character. I’m currently going through the hardest time of my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way.”
Ozzy was also honoured with a special performance at The Brits featuring some of his main collaborators over the years, with vocals from Robbie Williams.
