Jordon Wilson for Love Island 2026 / ITV
Love Island suffered its most devastating bloodbath yet last night as four bombshells were dumped and OG Ellie Chadwick chose to walk out.
Shortly after leaving the villa, Jordon Wilson spoke to the press about his time on the show…
How does it feel to be leaving the villa?
“To be honest, it feels good. The timing was right. In the Villa, I explored every option I thought was possible and every girl I was attracted to and it didn’t end up working out in the end. However I feel like leaving now has come at the right time, I’m happy to have no regrets.”
What was it like joining Love Island as a Casa Bombshell?
“Going into Casa my top three were Jasmine, Mica and Priya. When I got in there, I realised it was going to be difficult as Jasmine and Mica both had strong connections which they made very clear, but they were still open to getting to know me. It was a hard time to enter near the end of the show when there were a lot of couples going on. It was a tough ask! But I did everything that I could do. I ended up with Priya, which I was happy about. She’s a great girl. That didn’t end up working out but overall it was a good experience. With Jasmine, I genuinely think if I came in a little bit earlier that could have definitely worked out. She said to me I wish you’d come in at the beginning and we’d have definitely had something. I think once you’re already four or five weeks into something with someone it’s scary to leave that commitment when there’s feelings already built. I think it could’ve been something.”
Why didn’t things progress further with Priya?
“With Priya it was a weird one – as soon as we coupled up it just felt like a friendship. I tried to ignore that and make it a bit more flirty and see if it could go somewhere but it wasn’t clicking in that way. There’s no negative with Priya, it was just more friendly vibes.”
We then saw you couple up with Martha – how was your journey with her in the Villa?
“Initially when Martha came back from Casa and we saw each other for the first time I could tell we were both attracted to each other. She’s a little bit mysterious, you don’t know everything about her straight away so that for me was intriguing. However, a couple of days in to being in a couple started to feel like it wasn’t going anywhere. I just think the compatibility wasn’t there and how we are as people – I need someone that’s really affectionate and it’s clear they’re into me and I didn’t really get that so it kind of fizzled . We agreed we weren’t really a good match.”
How did it feel when it was revealed you got the fewest votes and was dumped from the Island?
“I felt it coming because maybe the public could see I wasn’t in a strong couple. When everyone is hitting it off and getting along really well, it makes sense.”
Which couples do you think will go the distance?
“For me, there’s only one couple that I want to win – Simba and Angie. I talked to Simba a lot, we were really close in there. The way he talks about her and the things he wants to do when he leaves, I can tell he’s really, really genuine about her. Equally on the other side, she’s like the Queen of the Villa. She moves discreetly but her presence is felt. They’re a really lovely match, I think they deserve to win.”
Love Island continues Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, with Unseen Bits airing Saturdays at 10pm.
