Anthony Boyle and Connor Swindells for Charmer / Sky
House of Guinness star Anthony Boyle and Sex Education‘s Connor Swindells have joined the cast of Charmer, a “seductive” new drama for Sky.
The eight-part original series centres around a group of ambition thirty-something Londoners whose lives are upended by the arrival of Boyle’s character Ryan, a seducer-for-hire employed to test the fidelity of his wealthy clients’ partners.
Also on the cast are Black Mirror‘s Siena Kelly as Emily and Talk To Me star Sophie Wilde as Cameron, while Swindells will play Max.
The drama is created and written by newcomer Thomas Aspell, while Elliot Hegarty – known for Rivals and Ted Lasso – is the director.
“I’m thrilled to come on board and play Ryan in Charmer, working alongside such incredible talent. Tom’s scripts are fantastic, heartfelt, funny and smart. I can’t wait for people to meet the characters that Siena, Connor and Sophie create.”
Meghan Lyvers, the MD of scripted originals at Sky, added: “Charmer is exactly the kind of bold, original storytelling we champion at Sky. Tom has crafted a brilliantly distinctive take on modern love, brought to life by an exceptional cast led by Anthony, Siena, Connor and Sophie.
She added: “We can’t wait for audiences to see it.”
Production has now begun on the drama ahead of an expected release in 2027.
