Maya Jama for Love Island 2025 / ITV
Maya Jama has dismissed speculation that she could be replaced as host of Love Island next year.
The presenter took over from Laura Whitmore on the ITV2 dating show in 2023 and has hosted six series to date, as well as the first season of US spinoff Love Island Games.
Jama stepped down from Love Island Games ahead of the current season, however, and was replaced by Ariana Madix, sparking rumours that she could also bow out of the UK show before it returns in January with All Stars.
“Hello darlings, this is for Love Island fans and Love Island fans only,” she said in a video on TikTok.
“Despite the multiple fake news stories that are flying around left, right and centre, Maya’s not hosting, Maya is quitting…
“I will be hosting next year, I will be back for All Stars in January, and the summer series June and July, we go again mother-lovers.
“I’m obviously not hosting Love Island Games this year. As much as I love the show, I physically couldn’t do three Love Islands a year, I’ve just got other bits on and work, but Ariana is doing an amazing job, so I hope you’re watching that too. I will see you in January, love you, love you.”
Jama is currently filming a new series of The Masked Singer, due for broadcast on ITV in January.
