Dani Dyer for Strictly Come Dancing 2025 / BBC
Dani Dyer is reportedly in line to return to Strictly Come Dancing this year after being forced out of the last series with an injury.
The reality TV star, 29, was part of the celebrity lineup for the 2025 series but pulled out just days before the first live show due to a fractured ankle sustained during a training session with pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.
Dyer was replaced last-minute by West End star Amber Davies, who made it all the way to the final, finishing as a runner-up.
According to The Sun, however, Dyer believes that she has unfinished business with the show and is now “in talks” about being part of the Class of 2026.
“Dani was beyond gutted when she had to quit Strictly,” a source told the newspaper. “She never got a chance to do a single show or a dance for the judges so when the door was opened for her again by the BBC she jumped at the chance.
“Dani hasn’t signed her contract yet but she’s clearing her diary and has told the BBC she wants in.
“To get a second chance to appear on Strictly is a dream come true for her. The first time around she was paired with Nikita Kuzmin and she hopes she will get him again.
“She is determined to get on the dancefloor and show the viewers what she’s made of.”
The new series – due to begin this September – will also be the first with new hosts Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe.
