Tyra Banks has been announced as the new host of Dancing With The Stars just days after Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were relieved of their duties.
Earlier this week Bergeron revealed that he has been axed as main host of the US version of Strictly Come Dancing after 15 years, with co-host Andrews also departing.
Former America's Next Top Model presenter Banks, 46, will become the new sole host when DWTS returns in a few months and she is also taking up a role as an executive producer.
In a statement, Banks said: "I've been a fan of DWTS since its beginning. The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances ... it's always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk.
"Tom has set a powerful stage, and I'm excited to continue the legacy and put on my executive producer and hosting hats."
The new season of the show would normally begin in September but its exact start date remains unknown due to complications caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
